Saudi Arabia's Makhld Al Otaibi won the men's 5,000m run in a time of 13:41.48 in the Asian Games hereon Thursday.

Qatar's Khamis Abdulla Saifeldin timed 13:44.42 for the silver and the bronze went to Japanese Toshihiro Iwasa in 13:48.24.
