Chinese University Basketball Association (CUBA)
Adjust font size:
The CUBA, the Chinese University Basketball Association, was founded in 1985 and the CUBA league launched in 1998.

When the CUBA league was held for the first time, it drew 617 teams from 26 provinces and cities.

The CUBA's activities have enjoyed great popularity on campuses. Many famous universities put huge efforts into succeeding in this new league. Compared with the NCAA, the National Collegiate Athletic Association, which has been in existence for 63 years, the CUBA is still very much in its infancy. However, at its current rate of development, its future is bright.

In the final of the sixth CUBA league in 2004, Huazhong University of Science and Technology beat visitors Xi'an Jiaotong University 75-65 to win the title.
