Olympic gold medallists Argentina clinched their second win of the SCCC tournament after beating Angola 83-64 on Wednesday at the Capital Stadium in Beijing.

Angola opened the scoring after the tip-off 2-0, and it was their only one lead throughout the game. The Argentineans took their height advantage and used sharp 3-pointers to gain a 19-10 lead with 4:50 remaining in the first quarter, causing Angola to ask for their first time-out.

A 3-pointer from Gabriel Fernandez won Argentina a 7-point lead into the second quarter. The Angolans managed to close the gap to 2 points with effective cuts and fast breaks. Argentina led 44-42 to end the first half.

In the second half, Angola first used a tip-in to tie the score at 44-44, but gradually lost their firing accuracy. The consecutive turnovers by the Angolans widened the gap in the last two periods. Argentina ended the match 83-64.

Argentina's starting lineup:

DANIEL FARABELLO, GABRIEL FERNANDEZ, ROMAN GONZALEZ, PAOLO QUINTEROS, HERNAN JASEN

Angola's starting lineup:

OLIMPIO CIPRIANO, JOAQUIM GOMES, ABDEL BOUKAR, CARLOS ALMEIDA, MIGUEL LUTONDA
