Huang Xiaojing, a native from Fuzhou of Fujian Province, was born in February 1946. With university education, Huang started working in September 1969 and joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in December 1973.
He once served as Secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, Deputy Secretary and Director of Gulou District of Fuzhou.

Nov. 26: reelected Deputy Secretary of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee
Jan. 24, 2008: reelected Governor of Fujian at the 1st session of the 11th Fujian Provincial People’s Congress
