Aid for the Physically Handicapped

China will allocate 135 million yuan, or over US$16 million, to improving the lives of physically disabled people.

The fund, which is linked with the welfare lottery, will be used to set up 18 medical teams to treat physically handicapped children in western and central provinces of China.

Meanwhile, nearly 300 thousand physically disabled people will be provided with varying amounts of medical aid.
