The Chinese central government has allocated 207 million yuan in financial support for 19 projects in Huludao, a coastal city in southwest Liaoning Province, city officials said.

The funds, which amount to 3 percent of total investment in the projects, will be used to build infrastructure in five industrial zones around the city.

Three projects in the Huludao Economic Development Zone will receive 42.93 million yuan; 4 projects in the High-tech Industrial Park 25.83 million yuan; 4 projects in the Xingcheng Linhai Industrial Zone 14.93 million yuan; one project in Dayuanshan Industrial Park 22.74 milion yuan; and 7 projects in Suizhong Binhai Economic Zone 100 million yuan.

The money comes from a 3-billion-yuan grant given to the Liaoning provincial government for use from 2011 to 2015.

Liaoning provincial officials plan to spend 600 million of that grant in infrastructure projects each year.
