Austria's oldest citizen, Hermine Dunz, died in her hometown of Graz on Saturday, months after celebrating her 110th birthday, local media reported Wednesday.

Dunz turned 110 on Feb. 24. She never visited a doctor and was mentally alert. She had moved into a rest home when she was 101 years old.

According to data released by Statistics Austria last October, the country has 908 people aged over 99 years, of whom 774 are women.

The average life span of Austrian men and women is 77.13 years and 82.68 years respectively.
