HK issues warning on peanut with possible contamination
Adjust font size:

The Center for Food Safety (CFS) of Hong Kong advised people Monday not to consume certain batches of peanut products manufactured by Brown & Haley which are suspected of being contaminated with Salmonella.

U.S. authorities said the manufacturer concerned was recalling the products in the country distributed between March 21, 2007 and Feb. 26, 2009, according to the center.

"According to information of the manufacturer and the local distributor, the affected products have been exported to Hong Kong," said the center in a statement.

"The CFS has followed up with the Hong Kong distributor of the products and learned that the lots bearing the same UPC Codes were no longer on sale in the local market," said the center.
