Focusing on urban construction, the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone is making comprehensive efforts to promote industry, infrastructure, urban environment, and other aspects to deepen the integration of scientific technology, industry, city and people, while advancing high-quality development.

In terms of road renovation, in the first quarter of this year, the Hefei high-tech zone implemented 105 major construction projects, including those under construction and newly built, with a total investment of about 1.66 billion yuan ($230 million). In January, all the eight roads with an investment of 669 million yuan at the first phase of iFlytek Town were completed and opened to traffic.

In terms of ecological protection, the zone has changed its development philosophy from "building parks in the city" to "building the city in parks." It laid 20,000 square meters of lawns in its 36,000-square-meter high-voltage corridor area, transforming it into a green ecological corridor for citizens to stroll and rest. 

Pavilions and gardens are connected by a 1.5-kilometer asphalt main road, offering a green space for leisure, fitness, and sightseeing. 

The rainwater and sewage treatment projects followed the approach of a sponge city to effectively improved the quality of local waters including Paihe River and Shiwuli River.

Project construction is a key driving force for urban development. In March, 15 major projections were launched in the zone, covering a number of strategic and emerging industries such as advanced optical storage, integrated circuits, smart home appliances, and biomedicine.

Thanks to reasonable planning and integrated implementation, the zone is not only an area full of innovative vitality, but also a place suitable for living and work.
