Hefei high-tech zone advances sci-tech innovation

The International Deep Space Exploration Association (IDSEA), an international academic organization dedicated to deep space exploration, was officially launched on July 7 in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone of Anhui province.
As China's first international institute in this sector, IDSEA is expected to attract more globally renowned scientists and international scientific and technological achievements to the zone, enhancing Hefei's overall innovation capabilities and influence.
Hefei high-tech zone, one of the first national high-tech industrial zones approved by China's State Council, is home to 22 new-generation research and development institutions, including the Institute of Advanced Technology of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), Hefei Technological Innovation Engineering Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Grand Union of Innovation.
In recent years, the zone has made continuous endeavors in basic research and achieved remarkable progress in cutting-edge fields, such as quantum technology, artificial intelligence, and aerospace information. Its ownership of high-value invention patents per 10,000 people reached 327.
Looking forward, the zone will emphasize its commitment to promoting sci-tech innovation, technological advancement, and commercialization, and strive to become a Chinese innovative hub with global appeal.
