The Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone has in recent years stepped up efforts to build a favorable business environment for local enterprises.

It has carried out 20 tailored measures and unveiled the first regional guideline in Anhui province to improve administrative services, covering 17 critical aspects such as business registration and deregistration, and construction project application.

The zone has also leveraged digital technologies to improve services for companies. It launched an intelligent platform to optimize online services for its nearly 100,000 business entities, in addition to developing a WeChat mini program to deliver real-time responses and practical solutions through whole-process digital management for local companies.

In terms of policies, the zone is leading the city and even the province. A pioneering comprehensive policy information platform now serves over 30,000 registered enterprises, offering timely notifications of policy updates from provincial, municipal, and district governments. Using this platform, more than 2,000 enterprises have received subsides and incentives from all levels of government amounting to 300 million yuan (US$41.8 million).

Benefiting from its continuously improved business ecosystem, the zone has now attracted a workforce of 560,000, over half of whom holding bachelor's degrees or above. The total number of city-level high-caliber professionals reached 9,072, ranking first in Hefei.
