In the first four months, 27 new foreign-invested enterprises were registered in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, representing a significant year-on-year increase of 92.86%, the latest data showed.
At present, 58% of all foreign firms in the zone are concentrated on scientific technology and manufacturing sector.
In recent years, the high-tech zone has consistently prioritized fostering a first-rate business environment that is market-oriented, law-based, and internationalized. These efforts have solidified its reputation as a premier investment hub, empowering foreign-funded companies to scale new heights in business performance.
Currently, the zone maintains industry leadership in cutting-edge sectors, including quantum technology, aerospace information, new energy vehicles and artificial intelligence.
Meanwhile, the zone has strengthened its efforts in attracting foreign investment by providing policy support and establishing international cooperation platforms.
It also has capitalized on its competitive strengths in multiple fields such as high-end manufacturing, information technology, and modern services, promoting cooperation between upstream and downstream of the industrial chain to accelerate the growth of industrial clusters.
To facilitate the long-term settlement of high-quality foreign professionals, the zone initiated the construction of the first international talent community in Anhui province.
The talent community is now home to over 40 expatriates from the U.S., Canada, South Korea, Spain, Australia, Germany, the U.K., and other countries, alongside nearly 500 returned overseas Chinese and their families, as well as overseas-educated students.
