Hefei high-tech firms shine at world manufacturing convention

Fifty-four enterprises from the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone participated in the 2025 World Manufacturing Convention (WMC), held from Sept. 20 to 23 in Hefei, Anhui province.
With cutting-edge intelligent and high-end manufacturing products, their presence highlighted the zone's strong industrial foundation and dynamic growth potential, reinforcing its position as a leader in advanced manufacturing innovation.
In recent years, the Hefei high-tech zone has actively promoted the transformation and upgrading of its manufacturing industry. By cultivating competitive industrial clusters in key fields – including artificial intelligence, advanced photovoltaic and energy storage, new energy, intelligent vehicles, and high-end equipment manufacturing – the zone has propelled the regional manufacturing industry toward high-end, intelligent, and green development.

As a global AI leader, iFlytek showcased a suite of 10 AI products at the convention. Its AI industrial endoscope can precisely detect critical cracks as small as 0.01 millimeters on an aircraft. The AI acoustic imaging instrument equipped with 132 microphones can quickly locate gas negative pressure leakage points in iron and steel plants. The multilingual AI transparent screen supports 37 languages, with a recognition accuracy rate in noisy environments exceeding 95%.

In the new energy sector, Sungrow Power presented its latest achievements in new energy technology, as well as system integration applications. The company has in recent years achieved remarkable results in photovoltaic inverters, energy storage systems, wind power converters, and new energy investment and development.

The Jianghuai Frontier Technology Coordination and Innovation Center exhibited Anhui's first cable-driven S1 robot. With 46 free movements and integrated sensors such as LiDAR, millimeter-wave radar, depth cameras, visual and tactile sensors, and six-axis force sensors, the robot is capable of multidimensional environmental perception. Future applications span industrial production, specialized operations, home services, and medical rehabilitation.

A humanoid robot developed by VSTC has become a centerpiece at the convention. It can not only complete tasks such as flexible assembly and material handling in the industrial sector, but also conduct safety inspections in hazardous environments. It has application prospects in diverse scenarios such as search and rescue, smart education, home care, and elderly companionship.
