The Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone inked three strategic cooperation agreements in future-oriented industries at the 2025 World Manufacturing Convention (WMC), held from Sept. 20 to 23 in Hefei, Anhui province.
These agreements underscore the zone's commitment to advancing cutting-edge technologies and industrial innovation, positioning it as a key player in the global manufacturing landscape.
In the field of embodied intelligence, the zone will collaborate with X Square Robot and the International Advanced Technology Application Promotion Center (Hefei) to develop large models, scenario applications, and an industrial ecosystem.
In the field of the low-altitude economy, the zone signed a project with AVIC (Beijing) Technology Industry Service Co. Ltd. to integrate the low-altitude economy with intelligent manufacturing. With a total investment of approximately 2.5 billion yuan ($350.8 million), the project is set to build a research center and a production base covering 300,000 square meters.
In the field of new display technologies, REHEO Technology plans to invest 1 billion yuan to build an innovation center and a manufacturing base in the zone. After completion, the plant is expected to be capable of producing 3 million display modules and 600 metric tons of optical silicone materials annually.
In recent years, the Hefei high-tech zone has prioritized next-generation industries, such as artificial intelligence, quantum technology, and aerospace information. By driving deep integration between the innovation and industrial chains, the zone is accelerating the development of a globally competitive, future-oriented industrial system.
