Hefei high-tech zone forges world-class sci-tech hub

The Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, focusing on its goal of building a world-class high-tech hub, achieved remarkable results in development across all endeavors during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025).
As the core area for emerging industries in Anhui province, the zone has gathered 84,000 enterprises, forming a synergistic development pattern of five leading industries and two future-oriented sectors. These include next-generation information technology, new energy vehicles, advanced PV and energy storage, smart home appliances, and biomedicine, alongside quantum technology and aerospace information, showcasing robust vitality.

A series of world-class achievements originated in the zone, including the world's first superconducting system Zuchongzhi-3, the world's first distributed cryptographic system integrating Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), the world's first quantum current transformer, as well as the world's first quantum science experiment satellite Mozi. The zone has become a significant landmark for global quantum technology innovation.

Notably, the zone's AI industry is rapidly emerging, clustering 1,556 enterprises across the entire industrial chain, including 15 listed companies and 1,177 high-tech enterprises. Industries such as aerospace information and advanced PV and energy storage are also thriving. Leveraging the technological foundation of research institutions such as the Deep Space Exploration Lab, the zone has formed a complete industry chain — from satellite manufacturing, launch operations, to data application — attracting 140 enterprises.

iFlytek staff introduced the company's AI acoustic imaging device to international exhibitors during the 2025 World Manufacturing Convention. Currently, centered on its Spark large model, iFlytek has built a matrix of over 30 industry-specific large models. The company holds a 60.8% domestic market share in intelligent speech technology.
