On March 26, Silicon Extreme, a leading quantum technology enterprise based in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, joined hands with Moore Threads, a prominent domestic GPU manufacturer, to launch an integrated computing platform at the Future Industry Innovation and Development Forum of the 2026 Zhongguancun Forum in Beijing.
Designed as a globally accessible computing infrastructure platform, it anchors its operations on a dual-core foundation: Moore Threads' next-generation GPUs and Silicon Extreme's quantum computing systems. This innovative setup forges an integrated computing base that dismantles technical silos between classical and quantum computing, achieving efficient coordination among diverse computing resources.
Boasting full independent controllability across its hardware devices, core chips, operating systems, and application software, the platform is poised to drive impactful breakthroughs in cutting-edge scientific and technological sectors, including advanced material design and innovative pharmaceutical research and development.
In recent years, the Hefei high-tech zone has stepped up efforts to establish complete industrial chains spanning quantum communication, quantum computing, and quantum measurement. Backed by a suite of supportive initiatives such as "sci-tech innovation + scenario application," the zone has become home to more than 80 quantum technology companies.
Going forward, the zone aims to fully capitalize on its competitive edge in quantum technology, continuously strengthen basic research and core technological breakthroughs, and deepen the collaboration among industry, academia, and research, so as to develop a quantum technology and industry cluster with global influence.
