Recently completed, a 189-meter, 38-story global headquarters for the GEOVIS Digital Earth platform stands in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone and is scheduled to open in August. 

The company, affiliated with the Aerospace Information Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, ranked second in China's geospatial industry in 2025. Its platform integrates satellite remote sensing, spatiotemporal big data, digital twins, and AI to deliver global monitoring and management.

The system provides support for smart cities, emergency response, agriculture, environmental protection, and finance — delivering real-time satellite data to assist disaster relief and 3D urban management, and facilitating drone logistics and low-altitude operations. 

Originally based in Beijing, GEOVIS signed a 1.5 billion yuan ($220.68 million) relocation agreement in 2021 and has since established nine local subsidiaries and a research team of over 1,000 staff. The zone now hosts more than 150 aerospace information firms and 12 advanced research platforms, covering the complete supply chain from satellite design and manufacturing to in-orbit operation and application services. The new headquarters is expected to attract more industry players and further strengthen Hefei's aerospace information ecosystem.
