Recipients for the 2025 State Scientific and Technological Progress Award were recently announced, and they include three companies based in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone: iFLYTEK, YUWEITEK, and Debo Energy.

Shortly afterward, the 2025 Anhui provincial scientific and technological awards were also unveiled, honoring 55 outstanding achievements from the Hefei high-tech zone that span artificial intelligence, quantum technology, biomedicine, new energy, and other future-oriented sectors.

Rooted in its founding principle of "building industries through sci-tech advancement," the zone has established a full-fledged innovative service system that delivers all-around, scenario-matched support for enterprises across different sectors.

Right now, the zone boasts 23 new-type research institutions. As of the beginning of this year, the zone has put into operation more than 1,000 projects for applying sci-tech advances, incubated over 1,100 enterprises, and nurtured over 220 high-tech companies to grow and thrive.

The zone has built a full-lifecycle sci-tech financial service system that covers angel investment, innovation loans, equity investment, youth entrepreneurship funds, and other tailored financial instruments. The zone hosts more than 240 funds with a total pool exceeding 280 billion yuan ($41.5 billion).

Currently, the zone boasts a workforce of 585,000, with over 51.1% having bachelor's degrees or higher. A total of 11,000 professionals are recognized as high-level talent at or above the municipal level.
