Hefei high-tech products fly on China's reusable rocket

The Zhuque-3 Y2 rocket blasted off in northwest China on Aug. 19, and then its land-based recovery was completed as planned. It marked China's first successful land-based controlled recovery of a rocket's first stage using deployable landing legs, marking a major milestone in the country's reusable rocket technology.
A suite of innovative products developed by the 43rd research institute of China Electronic Technology Group Corporation, located in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, were deployed in the rocket's inertial navigation unit, serving as indispensable components that guaranteed the mission's success.
An inertial navigation unit serves as the "navigation brain" of a rocket. Its power supply stability directly affects the accuracy of attitude control and targeted landing recovery. Addressing the instantaneous high-voltage surges that may occur during the rocket's takeoff, inter-stage separation, and other phases, the surge-resistant power supply developed by the institute can effectively suppress voltage shocks and isolate circuit interference.
Meanwhile, to power precision sensor components such as gyroscopes and accelerometers, the specially designed miniature constant current source not only outputs stable current, but also fits into the limited installation space inside the rocket cabin.
In addition, the onboard Honghu-03 satellite, which has been launched into orbit by the rocket, is equipped with the institute's self-developed radiation-resistant DC/DC converter and EMI filter. Under harsh radiation conditions, they can provide stable and continuous power supply for all the platforms and payloads of the satellite. It not only verifies the adaptability of the product in extreme environments, but also marks the in-depth application of domestic high-end power supplies and signal processing circuits in the commercial aerospace sector.
Relying on its mature thick-film power supply design and strict quality system, the institute currently has the capability to provide a complete set of anti-radiation secondary power supply and distribution solutions covering power requirements from 1.5W to 600W.
As the core area for the development of the aerospace information industry in Anhui province, the Hefei high-tech zone has now gathered more than 150 industrial chain enterprises, as well as 12 research institutes and innovation platforms, bringing together over 90% of Hefei's relevant enterprises and platforms. It has established a full-fledged industrial chain ecosystem driven by constellation development, integrating design, manufacturing, operation, and end-user applications into a cohesive whole.
