Jia reaffirms China's route of peaceful development

Jia said China is a country that seeks harmony between nature and the human beings. Noting that enhancing environment protection and tackling climate change are common tasks of all countries in the world, he said China will always push forward development of ecological civilization, attach priority to resources efficiency and environment friendly practice in the process of industrialization and modernization.

China will step up effort to develop and spread technologies of energy efficiency, environment protection and renewable energy so as to reduce greenhouse gas emission. It will strengthen environment protection and push forward international cooperation on environment and climate change, Jia said.

Jia arrived in Bucharest on Sunday for a four-day official goodwill visit to Romania. Romania is the first leg of his four- nation Europe tour, which will also take him to Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia.
