据新华社报道，跳水皇后郭晶晶终于做出“谢幕”决定。中国跳水队领队周继红周日确认，郭晶晶已经递交退役申请。郭晶晶的退役，也宣告了一个跳水女皇时代的终结。她创造了几乎无法超越的世界记录：四枚奥运金牌，并实现了世锦赛3米板单、双人的五连冠。

Diving queen Guo to retire

Chinese diving queen Guo Jingjing is retiring, Xinhua reports. National diving team leader Zhou Jihong confirmed Sunday that Guo had submitted her application for retirement. Guo's retirement marked the end of an era during which she set an almost unbeatable record of four Olympic gold medals and five consecutive victories in both the individual and synchronized 3-meter springboard at the world championships.
