Toby Chan was the surprise winner at the 2010 Miss Hong Kong Pageant yesterday, Xinhua reported. She will represent Hong Kong at Miss World and Miss International 2010. Chan also won Miss Congeniality and Tourism Ambassador. Sammi Cheung and Lisa Chong were the first and second runners-up, respectively.	据新华社报道，昨日，2010香港小姐决赛大爆冷门，陈庭欣成功突围摘得桂冠。她将代表香港参加2010世界小姐和国际小姐的比赛。陈庭欣还同时获得“国际亲善小姐”及“旅游大使”的称号。佳丽张秀文、庄思明分别获得亚、季军。
Local GDP blown up	地方虚报GDP数据
Changjiang Times has reported that 29 of 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China have released their GDP figures for the first half-year. Together, their GDP reached 18 trillion yuan, more than national GDP, 17.28 trillion yuan. If the GDPs of Guizhou and Shanghai, which have not been released, are the same as the first half of 2009, or 149.6 billion yuan and 661.2 billion yuan respectively, the administrative regions' GDP will total 1.5 trillion yuan more than the national figure.	据《长江商报》报道，全国31个省、市、自治区，除去贵州和上海，均已发布上半年的GDP数据。29个省区市GDP之和为18万亿元，高于此前国家统计局公布的全国GDP17.28万亿的数值。就算贵州和上海的GDP和2009年上半年的GDP数值一样，即分别为1496亿元和6612亿元，那么31省份之和也比全国GDP多出1.5万亿。
Emirates A380 lands in China	A380定期航班首抵北京
The world's largest passenger jet, the Airbus A380, has made its maiden voyage to China yesterday, landing at Beijing Capital International Airport from Dubai. With 517 seats, the Airbus has replaced the Boeing 777-300ER for the Emirates flight, increasing the capacity by almost 50 percent. Tickets for a return flight to Dubai start at 7,500 yuan for economy class, 35,000 yuan for business and 42,000 yuan for first.	世界上最大的客机“空客A380”昨日降落北京首都国际机场，这是其首次执飞从迪拜到中国的定期航班。这架拥有517个座位的阿航A380正式接替原先的波音777-300ER机型，执行即迪拜往返北京航线，运力比原来增加近5成。目前，该航班北京到迪拜经济舱往返票价为7500元人民币、商务舱为3.5万元，头等舱为4.2万元。
Dutch 1st in NATO to quit Afghanistan	荷兰部队撤离阿富汗
The Netherlands became the first NATO country to end its combat mission in Afghanistan, drawing the curtain Sunday on a four-year operation that was deeply unpopular at home and even brought down a Dutch government, the AP reported. The departure of the small force of nearly 1,900 Dutch troops is not expected to affect conditions on the ground. But it is politically significant because it comes at a time of rising casualties and growing doubts about the war, even as allied troops are beginning what could be the decisive campaign of the war. Twenty-four Dutch soldiers have died in Afghanistan since the mission began in 2006. The Dutch troops will be replaced by soldiers from the U.S., Australia, Slovakia and Singapore.	美联社报道，在驻扎阿富汗四年后，8月1日，荷兰开始撤军，成为第一个撤出阿富汗战争的北约成员国。阿富汗驻军问题在荷兰国内广受质疑，最终导致荷兰联合政府垮台。荷兰驻阿部队仅有不到1900人，其撤出并不会对阿富汗战争产生实质影响，但此事政治意义非同一般，因为当前正值伤亡增加，盟军准备在质疑声中发动一场所谓的决定性战役。自2006年出兵阿富汗至今，共有24名荷兰士兵在阿富汗丧生。荷兰军队的防务将由美国、澳大利亚、斯洛伐克和新加坡的军队来接管。
