There's growing concern for kidnapped children and street children thanks to campaigns initiated by microblogs that fight child trafficking.

There's growing concern for kidnapped children and street children thanks to campaigns initiated by microblogs that fight child trafficking.
Han Hong, famous singer and CPPCC member]:
Han Hong, a famous singer and a CPPCC member, said during an interview that there's growing concern for kidnapped children and street children thanks to campaigns initiated by microblogs that fight child trafficking. She proposes establishing a special agency for child protection that would impose administrative intervention on families who abuse children and cancel those parents' temporary custody.
Zhan Guoshu, former editor-in-chief of People's Daily Overseas Edition and CPPCC member]:
As for the deliberation process, people are most concerned with the financial budget. How does the government spend money? What is necessary and what isn't? Since those ordinary NPC deputies and CPPCC members neither understand the budget nor have sufficient time, how could they make educated judgments? It must involve professionalization and deliberation in advance. A transitional way is to entrust the special committee of the NPC with the preliminary deliberation. The modern democratic system tends to be based on trust. But if every item that needs attention requires personal intervention, then things cannot be well done.
Liang Xiaosheng, writer and CPPCC member]:
When questioned by CPPCC members in a group discussion, a vice minister from the Ministry of Labor and Social Security said that during the Twelfth Five-Year Plan period, the government would issue a series of detailed regulations and policies for farmers on the procedures to allow them urban residency, the status of ownership for their land in the countryside, their working environment and education of their children in the city, and how to ensure economic growth, people's livelihood and stability through the process. This is the most sincere and exciting response from government officials I've ever heard, and I'm so glad for the news.
Chen Haipeng, microblogger]:
The parliamentary sessions are neither a show nor a gamble. They should not be full of pretentious nonsense or taken as an opportunity to gain political capital. Therefore, criticisms from delegates will be more appreciated here than flattering remarks. However, it should be constructive criticism -- valuable, insightful and effective. They should aim to guarantee the stability and prosperity of the country, as well as the vital interests of the people. Only remarks that promote the national economy and the people's livelihood will be taken into consideration, rather than unreasonable complaints and criticism.
