Of all the listed provinces, eight are from the east, reflecting the eastern provinces' intention to attract more workers for their labor-intensive industries such as textile and manufacturing. 调整最低工资标准的所有省份中,东部地区占8个,反映了东部省份希望吸引更多的劳动力来从事纺织和制造等劳动密集型产业。

Chongqing Municipality registered a rate hike of 27.9 percent, which tops the list in terms of growth, while Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region sits at second place with a 26.8 percent increase, both indicating the western region's strong desire to keep their local workforce from leaving for jobs in other regions.
