A farmer in southwestern England painted his entire flock of sheep orange to discourage thieves, the Daily Telegraph reports.

John Heard, 48, has put his flock of 250 blackface ewes through a harmless dip of orange dye making them so highly visible that cautious thieves are giving them a wide berth.

       据英国《每日电讯报》报道，为了防贼偷羊，英国西南地区的一位牧场主把他的整个羊群都染成了橙色。

       48岁的约翰·赫德用一种无害的染色剂把250只黑面母羊染成了极其显眼的橙色，小心谨慎的窃贼也就离羊群远远的。

       过去几年间，赫德已经丢失了200只羊。据他说橙色染料确实管用，今年他还一只羊都没丢过。
