A teenager from a poor family in the rural Philippines has been declared the world's shortest man as he turned 18, the BBC reports.

Guinness World Records presented 59.93 cm tall Junrey Balawing with a certificate at his 18th birthday party.

Balawing stopped growing when he was two, his father said. He is more than 7cm shorter than the previous record holder, Khagendra Thapa Magar from Nepal.

       巴拉温只有59.93公分高,他父亲说,他在两岁的时候就停止了长个儿。他比原纪录保持者——来自尼泊尔的卡根德拉•塔巴•马加尔还要矮7公分多。
