| A farmer in China's Henan province held a funeral for his dairy cattle in protest of local corruption, Dahe.cn reported. The farmer said his town government withheld provincial subsidies that he needed to operate his business, and that his cattle starved to death as a result. |

| According to an online blog post, the farmer said the Henan provincial government issued 600,000 yuan in supporting funds for his 230 dairy cattle, but the money was withheld and used by the Zhaolin Town government in Luohe prefecture. |
