Medvedev's dance parody edited out

The Kremlin says it does not understand why Russia's state TV has censored a comedy sketch making fun of President Dmitry Medvedev's dance skills, BBC reported.

Medvedev's press secretary says the president has no problem with people impersonating him. The clip re-enacted Medvedev's slightly robotic movements on a dance floor, which were earlier captured on a mobile phone and posted online.

To the strains of pop song American boy, Medvedev boogied in his blue suit and white shirt at a university reunion. The video later became the disco dance sensation of the year.

On the show, which is pre-recorded, one team of comedians re-enacted the famous Medvedev moves -- and won first prize. But when the program was broadcast on Russia's Channel One, their performance had been edited out.
