A performance artist who claimed that giving birth is the "highest form of art" has delivered a baby boy -- inside a New York City art gallery, AP reported.

Marni Kotak gave birth at 10:17 a.m. on Tuesday, the Microscope Gallery in Brooklyn said in a brief statement. The baby was 53 centimeters long and weighed 4.57-kilograms.

The gallery said that the relatively quick birth was witnessed by around 20 people.

       据美联社报道，一位行为艺术家称分娩是“艺术的最高形式”，日前她在纽约一家艺廊展示了自己的生子过程。

       这位名叫玛尼·科塔克的女子，10月26日上午10时17分在布鲁克林的显微镜画廊产下一名身长53公分、重约4.57千克的男婴。

       另据画廊称，大约20人见证了此次比较顺利的生产，但并未公布其它细节。生产过程视频将在画廊下次展出中播放。
