Editor's note:

For the past year, the issue of education in China has still been a hot topic of social concern. Green scarves, colored exercise sheets ... a series of "colored" campus phenomena have contributed to the cold violence in Chinese education. The five-bar youngster, tiger mom, wolf dad ... parents are lost in a dilemma to choose the proper path for their family's education. A number of school bus accidents caused injuries and deaths among students ... In the wake of the controversies every education issue in 2011 has left us deep in thought.

Income gap is big reality on campus
