Florida police have stated a former gas station employee poured gas on himself and his car at the place, but was unable to obtain a lighter to ignite the fuel, UPI reported.

Kalpeshkumar Patel, 40, arrived at the gas station about 9:20 p.m. on Monday evening and used a gas pump to dump gasoline on himself and his car.

Police said Patel asked other customers for a lighter, but no one would help him.

男子欲自焚找不到打火机

       据合众社报道，美国佛罗里达警方表示，一名曾在加油站工作的男子在站内将汽油泼洒在自己身上和车上，可就是找不到打火机引燃油料。

       男子名为卡尔培什库马尔•帕特尔，今年40岁，他于周一晚9时20分左右驶抵加油站，用油泵将汽油倾洒在自己身上和车上。

       警察说帕特尔向其他顾客索要打火机，但没人愿意帮助他。

       帕特尔已被起诉犯有严重袭击和建筑物纵火未遂罪。他目前已被关押。
