US public perception of Asian Americans

For more on the rising influence of Asian Americans in the US, we're joined by our guest Larry Shinagawa, former director of Asian American Studies at the University of Maryland.

Q1: Larry, you've done a lot of research on the status of Asian Americans in the US. Can you tell us a bit about how the US public views Asian Americans these days?

Q2: And with their population growing, is their influence also on the rise? How does their status compare to what it was a few decades ago?
