3. Ejina poplar

Positioned at the northwest border of Inner Mongolia, Ejina owns one-third of the world's poplar forest area.

The best viewing time is between the end of September and mid-October, when the green leaves turn glittering golden in just a few days. The best place to take photos is around Yidaoqiao and Badaoqiao, with yurts and smooth sand dunes as the backdrop.

4. Bashang grassland

Bashang refers to an area of grassland between Beijing's neighboring Hebei Province and Inner Mongolia. When autumn falls, birch woods along the mountain turn golden, with numerous horses and sheep grazing around the area.

The best season for visiting Bashang is from late September to early October. The most famous attraction is Mulan Paddock, which used to be a royal hunting ground during the Qing dynasty. In addition, Saihanba, the largest forest park in north China is also situated on the Bashang grassland.
