Yangtze River diverted to ease drought in China

Photo taken on May 18, 2011 shows a floating water collection station on Huarong River is about to run aground due to low water level in Huarong County, central China's Hunan Province.The lingering drought in central and south China regions has seriously affected living and production of local people. Since May 4, Huarong County of Hunan province and Shishou City of Hubei Province have joined hand to pipe the water from the Yangtze River to the Huarong River so as to ease the water shortage.[Photo/Xinhua]
