Exactly nine years ago, on March 20, 2003, the US-led alliance launched its invasion of Iraq, starting the Iraq War. On December 18, 2011, the US withdrew its last troops from Iraq. The war caused 110,600 violent deaths of Iraqi people, according to the Associated Press. About 4,500 US servicemen were killed in the war.
