A performer (L) and a fisherman cheers during a festival to celebrate the open season of the Songhua River in Harbin, capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, April 15, 2012. As the open season of the Songhua River starts, some fishermen wore traditional clothes and joined in the celebrations in Harbin. The traditional celebrations of the open season date back to more than 1000 years ago. Local fishermen believe that the celebrations showed their respect to the god of Songhua River, who will bless them with good luck and peace. [Xinhua]
