A staff member adjusts devices on the deep-sea submersible, Jiaolong, aboard Xiangyanghong 09, the submersible's oceanographic mother ship, June 14, 2012. China's manned deep-sea submersible, Jiaolong, will attempt a new dive as part of a bid to go down 7,000 meters into the Mariana Trench, according to mission headquarters. It postponed its first dive on Thursday to Friday due to safety reasons. [Xinhua]
