Life-size replicas of Forbidden City buildings at village museum

The Huaxi Village Museum, in Huaxi Village, Jiangsu Province, opened to visitors on Nov. 28. With a building area of 10,000 square meters, the museum contains 1:1 scale models of the Taihe Gate, Qianqing Palace, Donghua Gate and other major buildings of the Forbidden City in Beijing. The museum's collection features tens of thousands of pieces of artwork, including calligraphy, paintings, sculptures, jadeware, porcelain, embroideries and metalware.
