Bridge collapses after truck explodes

At least five people were confirmed dead and eight injured after a highway bridge collapsed in Sanmenxia, Henan Province, on Friday morning, the local government said.
Photo taken on Feb.1, 2013 shows the accident site where an expressway bridge partially collapsed due to a truck explosion in Mianchi County, Sanmenxia, central China's Henan Province. The explosion, which occurred around 8:52 a.m. (0052 GMT) on Feb. 1, caused several vehicles to tumble from the bridge. At least 9 people died and 11 others were injured, the city government of Sanmenxia said. Search and rescue efforts are under way. [Xinhua photo]
