Semk's B. Duck ducklings await the arrival of "Rubber Duck" July 16 near the sculling boats in Shichahai in Beijing's Xicheng District. Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman's inflatable "Rubber Duck" sculpture will be displayed during Beijing Design Week September 26 to October 3. Hofman visited Beijing in late June to choose the most appropriate location for his "Duck." Options include Beihai Park, Houhai (above), Yuyuantan Park, Kunming Lake at summer Palace and Aohai Lake at the Olympic Forest Park. The above ducklings, designed by Hong Kong artist Semk, are part of a marketing campaign to encourage Hofman to select Shichahai. Visitors who purchase online tickets to cruise Shichahai will be given a B. Duck duckling as a souvenir. [Photo/Chinanews.com]
