Shaw buildings in Tongji University, Shanghai. Shaw donated tens of billions of yuan for educational and medical facilities in both the mainland and Hong Kong. Thanks to his donations, many cities in China feature a Shaw building, such as a Shaw Teaching Complex, Shaw Library, Shaw Middle School or Shaw Gymnasium. Many of the students who have enjoyed such facilities have been inspired by the names of the buildings to find out more about Shaw.
