Kunming giant panda no longer 'depressed'

A keeper feeds a slice of apple to giant panda Si Jia at a wildlife park in Kunming, capital of Yunnan Province, on April 26. Si Jia was one of three pandas relocated to Yunnan from a panda protection facility in Wolong, Sichuan Province, after the devastating Wenchuan earthquake in 2008. But after her friends, Qian Qian and Mei Qian, were sent back home, Si Jia slumped into depression and lost her appetite. She also became grumpy and temperamental. In a bid to cheer her up, keepers at the reserve let her watch TV and built a swing for her to play on. The return of Si Jia's appetite was a good sign that their hard work had paid off. [Photo/Xinhua]
