The Anti-submarine destroyer the Admiral Panteleyev from the Russian navy's Pacific fleet enters a navy port in Shanghai on Sunday, May 18, 2014 for the upcoming China-Russia Joint Sea-2014 naval drills. Warships from both navies fired a gun salute as China staged a warm welcome ceremony for the visiting Russian navy vessels. A total of 14 surface ships, two submarines, nine fixed-wing warplanes, six shipboard helicopters and two operational detachment-alphas (ODAs) have rallied in Shanghai on Sunday. This will be the third such exercise after joint drills off the coast of Russia's Far East in July 2013 and the Yellow Sea in April 2012. [Photo: Xinhua]
