The cockpit voice recorder (L) and the flight data recorder from the Southwest Airlines Flight 1248 accident in Chicago on December 8, 2005, are displayed at the National Transportation Safety Board offices in Washington, 09 December. The Boeing 737, which had flown to Midway Airport from Baltimore's Thurgood Marshall International Airport with 98 passengers and five crew, ended up in an intersection with its nose on the ground after the front gear collapsed. A six-year-old boy was killed in the accident. |
