The first 'water police' patrolling team is spotted on Yanqi Lake in the northeastern suburban Huairou District of Beijing. They are preparing for the 2014 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit, which will be held from Nov. 5 to Nov. 11, 2014. On Oct. 25, the number of police boats will be increased to two and the number of water police will increase from four to 12. A police station has also been prepped to deal with emergencies at Yanqi Lake.
