A complete fossilized skeleton of a Ruyangosaurus (which literally means "Ruyang Dragon") is on display at the Beijing Museum of Natural History. The skeleton, which measures 38 meters in length and 14.5 meters in height, is the largest complete dinosaur skeleton ever discovered. Ruyangosaurus lived some 120 million years ago and is named after Ruyang, a county in Henan Province where its remains were first discovered. The dinosaur’s huge stature implies that the early Late Cretaceous animal could have weighed up to 130 tons, equivalent to the weight of 20 adult elephants. [Photo by Chen Boyuan / China.org.cn]
