Visitors look at a pig kneeling down on its forelegs in front of a temple in Wenzhou, East China’s Zhejiang province, Feb. 22, 2015. Experts said that kneeling down on the front legs is a common posture for pigs to rest. A policeman thought the pig might be suffering the lack of vitamin E since a low spirit and kneeling down on front legs frequently are among the symptoms. The coincidence that a pig rested outside the temple on the Spring Festival holiday has made a video clip about the “worshipping pig” go viral on the Internet. The pig, escaped from a hog pen on the hill opposite the temple, was slaughtered before its owner surnamed Huang realized the online sensation. Huang also said he regretted slaughtering the pig, according to media report. [Photo/Weibo]
