Editor's note: Beijing's Tian'anmen Square has been gradually restored to its normal condition since the end of the military parade commemorating the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War on Sept 3. All the temporary visitors' stands have been removed and the afforested grounds on each side of the Tian'anmen Rostrum are being replanted. However, the large "Great Wall" flower terrace built on the Tian'anmen Square for the event won't be removed until after the Mid-Autumn Festival and the National Day holidays, so that local residents and tourists can continue to enjoy the scenery on these occasions, according to the Municipal Bureau of Landscape and Forestry. At the same time, landscaping workers are placing 200 sets of container flowers and planting 25,000 square meters of flowers along the Chang'an Avenue, the central street in the capital city.
