Painted eggshells are displayed during an exhibition of traditional Beijing intangible cultural heritage at the 2015 Beijing International Forum on People-to-People Friendship on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015. The “painted eggshell” technique is a traditional Beijing folk handicraft. Colored pictures are drawn on chicken, duck, geese, snake, pigeon and ostrich eggshells. Chinese painted eggshells integrate a variety of cultural arts, including painting, calligraphy, embroidery and handicraft arts. [Duan Yaying / China.org.cn]
