Editor's note: Looking at an office building in downtown Zhengzhou, capital city of Henan Province, people can't help wondering if the biblical Noah's Ark influenced its design. Built in 2013 at a cost of more than 10 million yuan (US$1.56 million), it is currently used as a sales center by a local real estate company. It is 120 meters long, 25 meters wide and 18 meters high, and the main structure is compose of steel, wood and glass. Moreover, the whole building is surrounded by water, making it exactly like the floating Noah's Ark described in Genesis. Many people, including the designer Yang Lin, hope the fancy building can be preserved and used as an art center or an entertainment complex in the future when its sales mission is accomplished.
